A TRULY 'BRITISH' DAY!

Well, the 2007 Beaconsfield British Car Show has come and gone and, in spite of the rain, which added a certain extra 'Britishness' to the proceedings, it was heralded as a great success. Many thanks to all those who supported the day. 156 cars were registered and there were probably closer to 200 on the field during the better part of the day before weather 'stopped play'. It was a tribute to the hobby to see so many come out to support the event in spite of the wet conditions.

A special thanks again to our sponsors Decarie Motors for the dash plaques, Kwik Kopy Pointe Claire for the card cards (owner Tom Merton has a 'Frog eye' Sprite) and Air Canada for the PA system, as well as a donation from ACL Distribution (Meguiars) for photocopying, etc.

An extra-special thanks also to the members of the Hudson Antique Car Klub for marshaling and to Steve Andrews for last-minute support with the rush of registration, ably assisting Paul Bouchard.

This is a low-key relaxed event with no entrance fee. Our giveaways were courtesy of our sponsors. The dash plaques were very popular and car cards were supplied as a result of feedback in 2005. We hope that everyone enjoyed themselves and we look forward to seeing you all again with your British cars. Next year is the usual show in Hudson, Quebec.

The selection of British iron was quite varied, from a Springfield Roller to a trio of Singers...even a Daimler Ferret armoured scout car!

There was plenty of support from the MG, Triumph and Jaguar brigades, as well as Minis and the odd Rover or two.

And where else would you see a Peerless GT parked on the same field as a Ford Prefect?

Stay tuned for more photos!
